Held every year since 1875, the Kentucky Derby is a race for three year old thoroughbreds on a mile and a quarter track.  Part of the “Triple Crown” the Kentucky Derby showcases many traditions including the singing of “My Old Kentucky Home” before the race and spectators enjoying Mint Juleps in commemorative silver cups.
